Chica Power showed her rivals a clean pair of heels to land the opening claimer at Dundalk for trainer Cian Collins.
Billy Lee popped out in front on the 12/1 shot in the seven-furlong contest and Slade Power mare had a couple of lengths on her rivals going to the furlong marker. Dumb Love gave chase in the closing stages but could only get within a length-and-a-quarter of the winner at the line.
It was a fourth career success for Chica Power, who was making his third start since joining Collins.
Lee said afterwards: "I had only ridden her the once before in Cork and I won on her using sort of similar tactics - I sat second that day and I made it today.
"She likes her own bit of space up front, she jumped lovely and I was able to dictate away. She was just enjoying herself in front.
"I got to the turn in and nothing had taken me on, I was just able to go for her but not go for everything and, when Ger Lyons' (Dumb Love) came to me, she was able to find a bit more in the last 150/100 yards.
"She's a lovely honest mare, but just a few things have to go right for her."
R G O'Toole claimed One Boss (finished fifth) to stay in Jessica Harrington's yard.
Iva Batt (finished fourth) was claimed by Keith Watson.
