Plenty of Irish interest at Wolverhampton today

With no Irish racing until Friday, Gordon Elliott and Michael Browne go in search of success across the Irish Sea at Wolverhampton's all weather card this afternoon.

The first of the Irish trained quartet to race is Gordon Elliott's Caracal in the opening 1m 5f Amateur Riders Handicap.

The 4yo son of Dubai Destination has yet to win on his twenty-two career starts and will have to improve on recent efforts if he is to have any chance here.

Michael Browne's Ability N Delivery is next up in the 3:50, division two of the five furlong handicap.

Last seen finishing a good third at Dundalk behind Balmont Mast, the three time winner looks to have every chance today with Shane Kelly aboard.

Gordon Elliott is double handed on the penultimate race on the card the Connolly's Red Mills 'Pure Nutrition' Handicap over 2m.

Priors Gold, who won over the course on Friday at the odds of 4/9, is out again and is likely to go off favourite with seven pound claimer Brendan Powell aboard.

Sounds of Thunder is Elliott's other runner and he also has his chance with Liam Keniry aboard.

The four time winner has won over the course before and should give a good account in what looks an open contest.
