The famous partnership between French trainer Andre Fabre and jockey Olivier Peslier is reportedly under strain, it was revealed today.
Peslier, who has a retainer to ride for Daniel Wildenstein, is said to be facing an ultimatum from Fabre, after the Parisian owner removed 42 horses from the legendary trainer`s stable.
'I still have the contract with Monsieur Wildenstein but I`m temporarily suspended from riding horses trained by Monsieur Fabre,' Peslier, who won the Vodafone Derby on High-Rise in 1998, told the Racing Post.
'I will be able to say more after a meeting on Friday evening.' One of the many highlights of the Fabre-Peslier combination came with Peintre Celebre - ironically owned by Wildenstein - in the 1997 Prix de l`Arc De Triomphe.
