Path D'ouroux is “50/50” to take up an engagement at Carlisle on Monday.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding got on top late on to win a novice chase at Cheltenham last month and also has the option of returning to Prestbury Park for his next start.

He is one of eight entries for the Weatherbys nhstallions.co.uk Graduation Chase on Monday and Cromwell said:-

"It is a 50 grand race and we stuck him in it at the last minute.

"He will either go there or possibly back to Cheltenham - it is 50/50 whether he runs.

"He was good in Cheltenham, but it was a very false race - they went very slow and it turned into a sprint, and he was gutsy."

Cromwell is now looking to next year with juvenile Fiery Lucy after her fine run to finish fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Del Mar last Friday.

"We don't have a plan for her. to be honest, the Breeders' Cup was the plan and we'll have a think about it over the winter.

"She hasn't won a black-type race, but has been banging on the door.

"She's obviously a talented filly. She's not very big, so it is a concern about how well she is going to train on going forward."
