25/1 shot Rossa Parks ran out a game winner of the Munster Mares Maiden Hurdle at Limerick under a strong drive from Paddy Mangan.
Sean Aherne 's charge was ridden into contention two from home in the 2m3f event and jumped into the lead at the final flight.
She proved too strong for long-time leader Sligo Publican on the run-in to record a length success.
French-import Theleze was something of a hotpot, sent off 8/11 after being available at 7/4 in the morning.
The favourite was bang in contention two out but failed to pick up on the run to the last where an error ended her chances.
The winner had claimed a point-to-point last season but was stepping up on three recent hurdle runs, in which she had been well held.
"She's a very well bred filly. I wasn't shocked by her but was a bit shocked to beat the favourite," said Aherne.
"She's not the worst in the world and had a nice run the last day. She liked that good ground.
"She might run again at Thurles on Thursday in a handicap hurdle. She's rated 93."
Kate Harrison was hit with a four-day ban over the riding of Days Of Glory a never dangerous eighth. The following is the Turf Club report:-
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Days Of Glory, ridden by Miss K.J. Harrison, and trained by Mrs C Harrison.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that her instructions were to settle the horse in mid division and to keep her on the bridle as long as possible. She added that the mare never travelled and jumped high and deliberately. She concluded that the horse didn’t handle the ground but stayed on past beaten horses in the latter stages.
Evidence was also heard from the trainer concerned who confirmed the instructions adding that the mare needs softer ground over a longer trip. She also stated that the mare suffered an injury in the past and they have been reluctant to run on quick ground ever since.
The Stewards also received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer who stated that Days Of Glory had a slight nasal discharge which may or may not be of any significance. She was also found to have an enlarged left fore lateral sesamoid from an old injury but was sound post race.
Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the trainers explanation however, Miss K.J. Harrison was found to be in breach of Rule 212a(i) having failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible place and suspended her for four race days.
