PRIDE RULED OUT OF 1000 GUINEAS

Godolphin today announced that Sagitta 1000 Guineas hope Morning Pride will miss the Newmarket Classic on May 7th.

The winner of three of her four starts last term, including the Group Three Prix du Bois for Andre Fabre, is recovering from a pastern injury.

Simon Crisford, Godolphin's racing manager, said: "Unfortunately Morning Pride will not be ready in time for the Guineas and will be prepared instead for a summer campaign."

Morning Pride, who joined the Godolphin team in December, had been a 16-1 chance for the Guineas with William Hill.

Last week it was announced that another Godolphin runner, City On A Hill, will miss the 2000 Guineas due to a splint injury.
