Dorans Pride heads the 47 horses who stood their ground for the Whitbread Gold Cup at today's forfeit stage.
Michael Hourigan's charge, who finished sixth to Looks Like Trouble in the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup last time out, is set to carry 11st 10lb in the Sandown contest on April 29th.
Ths trainer, who also has Tell The Nipper in the contest, said today: "Dorans Pride is definitely going for the Whitbread and I may well run them both.
"Dorans Pride wants quick ground so I hope the rain stays away."
The weights are set to rise by 3lb following the defection of original top weight Go Ballistic and the ill-fated Gloria Victis.
Other notable withdrawals include Coral Welsh National winner Edmond and Nicky Richards' The Grey Monk.
A number of Ladbroke Casinos Scottish Grand National hopefuls remain in the last big race of the National Hunt season including Young Kenny, Spendid, Marlborough, Trouble Ahead and Moondigua.
1999 Martell Grand National winner Bobbyjo, 11th in the race this year, is among the possibles as is Dark Stranger, who fell at the third at Aintree when favourite for Saturday's race.
Stormyfairweather, Beau and progressive novice Eau De Cologne could also make the Whitbread line-up.
