Ever Blessed is poised to begin his build up towards the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Trainer Mark Pitman reports his Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup winner to be in fine form and that the horse, who is not easy to train, has had no problems since the Newbury race.
Pitman said: "If everything goes to plan he could have one run before Cheltenham and I'm looking for a race around the middle of February. The timing of it will fit in quite nicely.
"He's not easy to train but we've built everything around going to Cheltenham. A prep run wouldn't be essential, it just really depends on what happens over the next month.
"He's been in very light work since the Hennessy and we'll start picking him up now.
"I think the horse will go there with a good chance. The ratings will tell you he's got a lot to find and I was very impressed with See More Business at Kempton but on the plus side he's young and improving and the track and trip ought to be ideal."
Ever Blessed is currently a 14-1 chance for the Gold Cup with Coral.
