Today`s British meeting at Perth has been abandoned as the course is waterlogged following heavy overnight rain.
An inspection had been called for 10.15 this morning after more than an inch of rain fell overnight on the Scottish track. But it was brought forward as conditions had not improved.
'There was no point hanging on. The course is unsafe, there is a lot of standing water on the track,' said clerk of the course Sam Morshead.
'We will have an inspection some time this afternoon to assess prospects for tomorrow`s meeting.
'The weather forecast is for it to be dry and it is brightening up a bit.'
