PERTH`S THURSDAY CARD GOES AHEAD

Perth`s meeting tomorrow has passed an inspection this afternoon and will go ahead as planned.

But officials at the course warned that heavy overnight rain would put the card in jeopardy.

This afternoon`s card at the Scottish course was abandoned due to waterlogging following over an inch of rain on Tuesday night.

However, clerk of the course Sam Morshead reported: 'Racing has got the go-ahead for tomorrow.

'If there is heavy overnight rain we`ll have to have another look tomorrow but the plan is to go ahead.

'There is not much rain forecast so we should be all right.'

The going is described as heavy.
