Indian Lodge is to bid for his second Group One victory of the season in the Dubai Champion Stakes at Newmarket next month.
The four-year-old was rated unlucky by connections when seventh behind Observatory in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot last Saturday.
Trainer Amanda Perrett said today: 'Indian Lodge is fine and now goes for the Champion Stakes.
'Possibly he was just a bit unlucky at Ascot. I think the ground was fine but I think he was just a little bit further back turning for home than he wanted to be.'
Indian Lodge gave the Pulborough handler her first Group One success when he took the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp earlier this month.
And the Grand Lodge colt steps up 10 furlongs for the first time in the #400,00 event on October 14 although he did win take the Group Three Weatherbys Earl of Sefton Stakes over nine furlongs at Newmarket in April.
It has not yet been decided if Indian Lodge stays in training next year but her Tote Ebor winner Give The Slip does.
'He stays in training next year and we`re very happy with him. But I`m not sure if he`ll run again yet this year or not.'
Give The Slip has been absent since his win in York`s big handicap last month and plans have been shelved to run him this weekend in either the German St Leger at Dortmund or the Group Two Prix Hubert de Chaudenay Casino Barriere de Menton at Longchamp.
'There was a bad forecast earlier on in the week and we felt that the horse would be better with a little bit more time. He`s absolutely fine,' added Mrs Perrett.
