PEGASUS WORKS WELL AT BELMONT

Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus continued his build up to the Breeders` Cup Classic by working well over seven furlongs at Belmont Park on Sunday.

Neil Drysdale, the colt`s trainer, said: 'I thought he worked well. He looked happy and was just cruising along.'

Drysdale said that the son of Mr Prospector could have his Breeders` Cup prep race in the Jerome Handicap on Saturday.

He added: 'Saturday is a possibility. It will depend on the weather and how the horse comes out of his work.

'I don`t have a set plan with him. The only plan we have is to get to the Breeders` Cup.'
