Fusaichi Pegasus was reported to be in good spirits following his shock defeat in the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico.
Trainer Neil Drysdale said yesterday: "He pulled up well after the race and was quite bright and playing in the test barn. He wasn't tired.
"He will leave Pimlico at six in the morning and will temporarily go to Aqueduct.
"He came back with a tiny cut under the knee which indicates that he got hit by some horse. He was bumped when a horse went by but that didn't really mean anything."
Meanwhile his Preakness conqueror Red Bullet was reported to be in excellent shape and due to travel back to Belmont Park.
Trainer Joe Orseno said: "He came back great - no nicks or anything. Right now I'd say we are 50-50 to go in the Belmont Stakes."
