Coral-Eclipse-winning rider George Duffield looks set to be denied the chance to land another Pattern-race win for Aidan O'Brien today.
His intended mount Freshwater Pearl is reported "very doubtful" for the Group Two thehorsesmouth.co.uk Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket.
The jockey's agent Keith Bradley said today: "The secretary phoned me up and said Freshwater Pearl was a doubtful runner - I would say it is very doubtful she will run."
Duffield, 53, had been due to deputise for the injured Michael Kinane on the O'Brien-trained Freshwater Pearl, as he had when winning the Eclipse on stable-companion Giant's Causeway at Sandown on Saturday.
