Jeff Pearce has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
The Newmarket trainer was arrested by Cambridgeshire on Friday night and subsequently charged in connection with a May 19 car crash in which his head girl Catherine Marr died.
Pearce will appear at Ely Magistrates' Court at 9.30am on Tuesday.
The 52-year-old spent a fortnight in hospital himself after the crash, having broken a thumb and some ribs.
Pearce, married to successful amateur rider Lydia, rode over jumps for 16 years from 1966 and has been a licensed trainer since 1986.
