David Elsworth has today confirmed Pawn Broker as a runner in the Thresher Classic Trial at Sandown on Saturday.
The colt entered the Classic picture when winning the John Mowlem Feilden Stakes at Newmarket last week, although he does not hold an entry in the Vodafone Derby at the moment.
Pawn Broker, who was also a possible for the Sagitta 2000 Guineas at Newmarket a week on Saturday, could meet Vodafone Derby favourite Beat Hollow in the Group Three contest.
The trainer said: "I will run Pawn Broker on Saturday in the Thresher Classic Trial. Michael Kinane rides.
"He's great and he's come out of Newmarket well."
