John Oxx trained the first two home in The Killavullan Stakes Group 3 but the result was not as most punters would have predicted, with Rayeni (7/2) staying on best to deny the well backed 11/10 favourite Vitruvian Man
The Indian Rigde gelding was raced in mid-division, improved to challenge on outer from over 1f out and kept on well to lead inside the final furlong under Fran Berry.
Winning trainer John Oxx commented, "He's very nice horse, he's very quiet at home and never puts a foot wrong. We didn't expect him to win as well as he did at Naas first time out but he's improving all the time and must have soft ground, he's a smart little fellow."
Oxx also commented on the second Vitruvian Man, "He was drawn in stall 1 on account of that we decided to make it with him, but he didn't like being in front and in future we'll ride him from behind. He's a very nice horse and both horses are finished for the season."
