The 8/11 favourite Malina Girl was a very easy winner of the mares beginners; chase under Keith Donoghue.
Runner-up on her previous three starts, she made no mistake this time. In front after four out, she cruised clear in the straight to beat Paidi's Passion by fourteen lengths.
Winning trainer Gavin Cromwell said: “I’m delighted to see her get her head in front. She’d been banging on the door and was entitled to win that on her mark.
“She will go back in handicaps and I can’t imagine the handicapper will do a lot as she was supposed to be winning that.”
