OXX EXPECTS TOUGH OPPOSITION

John Oxx believes the task facing Sinndar in Sunday's Budweiser Irish Derby is stiffer than the bookies believe.

The Vodafone Derby winner is as short as 4-5 favourite for the Curragh Classic with Coral.

But the trainer regards the race as a tough proposition for the colt, who will attempt to become the first horse since Commander In Chief in 1993 to complete the Epsom-Curragh double.

'There have been English Derby winners who have come over to the Curragh and faced easier opposition,' he said.

'Sinndar is very well and I expect him to run up to form but I am under no illusions. The opposition is going to be tough especially from King's Best.'
