First-season trainer Jamie Osborne breaks new ground tomorrow night when he has his first runner in Ireland.
Osborne runs Pounce, a promising fourth to Adjournment at Sandown on her only run to date, in the Goffs #100,000 Challenge, a juvenile contest worth IR#59,000 to the winner.
The trainer has only sent out two winners this year and he described himself as 'hopeful rather than confident' about the filly, for whom Michael Kinane has been booked.
He said today: 'Obviously our horses haven't been running very well.
'A lot have been going to the races right but have been coming back wrong so obviously there's a doubt in my mind about her but she went away with her tests and her health in A1 condition.
'I was very pleased with her first run, the ground was a bit lively for her but she stayed on well.
'I hope they have watered and a drop of rain would help.
'Michael Kinane will be a big help and I'm hopeful rather then confident - I thought a pot of this size would be worth going for.'
Pounce is one of three British-based horses in the 11-runner contest, won by the Tim Easterby-trained Bally Pride last season.
She will be joined by the William Jarvis-trained Pharoah's Gold and Spirit Of Song from Mick Channon's stable. -PA
