Michael O'Neill guided Slate Lane to victory in the final leg of the Corinthian Challenge Charity Race Series, with Damien Moore the overall winner of this three race competition.
Returned the 4/6 favourite, Slate Lane just held off Fair Damsel and Martina Dempsey by half-a-length, with that pair successful in the second race of the series at the Curragh last month.
While he won the first leg at Naas and finished second at the Curragh, Moore had to settle for third on this occasion, but still accumulated enough points (22) to be crowned the overall champion.
Speaking after his success, O'Neill said: "It's unbelievable to ride a winner here at Leopardstown.
"People have no idea what professional riders go through with injuries and it's great to be able to raise some money and give back something for the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund.
"I ride out five mornings a week for Emmet and really enjoy it."
A married father of two from Co Kilkenny, O'Neill previously competed in show-jumping and was a national amateur champion in 2018.
On 20 points, he finished second in the overall standings, with Martina Dempsey third on 15.
