O'Brien doubles up with So I Told You Joseph O'Brien notched a double on the card at Sligo this afternoon when English import So I Told You struck first time out for the yard in the featured fillies handicap. The daughter of Gleneagles had won once from seven starts for Richard Hughes across the water and started out off a mark of 80 on her Irish debut in the ten furlong contest. Dylan Browne McMonagle settled her on the rail behind front-runner Hayyel and the pair got a nice split to dispute passing the two furlong pole. The 6/1 shot had the advantage turning for home and stayed on gamely in the closing stages to hold the late surge of Hamley by half a length. The winning rider said afterwards:- "I got a lovely run. She travelled everywhere and when the gap came I took it. In fairness to her she dug deep when she got there and she won well at the line. "She's won over a mile so she had plenty of speed.  "She'd been running over a mile-and-a-half and had been a little bit disappointing before she came to Joseph but he's got a good tune out of her. "She's fit and she was ready and it paid off." (Quotes by Mark Nunan)
