Leading Cheltenham Festival candidates Le Coudray and Yeoman's Point have both met with setbacks and will miss their respective big-race targets, their trainer Aidan O'Brien announced today.
Le Coudray was the 4-1 joint-favourite with William Hill to improve on his second last year in the Bonusprint Stayers' Hurdle whereas Yeoman's Point was a 14-1 chance with Coral for the Capel Cure Sharp Supreme Novices' Hurdle and also held an entry in the Elite Racing Club Triumph Hurdle.
O'Brien said: 'Unfortunately Le Coudray and Yeoman's Point suffered setbacks when they worked this morning and both look as though they will be out for the rest of the season.
'It's a great shame because they both looked to have good chances.'
Ladbrokes revised betting for the Bonusprint Stayers' Hurdle: 3-1 Anzum and Lady Rebecca, 9-2 Limestone Lad, 6-1 Behrajan, 7-1 Bacchanal, 9-1 Hors La Loi III, 12-1 bar.
