Cheltenham Bumper hero Joe Cullen made a low-key return to action when managing only ninth in the Kilnaleck Maiden, won by Roomtoroom Express. The five year-old was found to be 'distressed' on veterinary examination post-race.
Trainer Willie Mullins admitted that he had been worried by the prevailing soft going prior to the race, although punters did not appear to share his concerns as they supported his charge from 3 to 1 into 2 to 1 favouritism.
