No problems at Clonmel

Clonmel report the prospects of racing on Thursday as "excellent" with the going currently described as soft on the hurdle/bumper course and yielding to soft on the chase track.

The Co. Tipperary track has avoided the worst of the wet weather experienced in the eastern half of the country, and Clonmel's Marketing Manager Eugene Cooney said, "The conditions are dry and sunny here today, and the forecast is good for the next 48 hours."

The first on a seven race National Hunt card is due to commence at 2.15pm, with the 16 entries for the Wilderness Chase including recent impressive Punchestown winner On The Way Out along with River Liane, Montan and Clan Tara.

The card also features the €15,000 www.grahamnorris.com Memorial Handicap Hurdle.
