Exciting novice hurdler No Flies On Him is likely to reappear in the Listed Madigan Group Irish EBF Sheila Bourke Novice Hurdle over two miles at Punchestown on Sunday.
The son of Westerner beat the useful Jango Baie in a point-to-point at Knockanard last year before joining Edward O’Grady and impressed on his debut under Rules at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting.
The JP McManus-owned gelding made most of the running to win that 28-runner maiden hurdle and is currently a 14/1 chance with the sponsors for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, although he also holds an entry in the Baring Bingham Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
McManus’ racing manager Frank Berry said, “He’ll probably go to Punchestown next Sunday for a Listed novice hurdle. That’s the plan at the minute.
“He was in the Grade 1 at Leopardstown but had a little hiccup.
“He’s a nice horse.”
