There were two horses, namely Green Tobasco and Gay Sloane that were backed to the exclusion of all others for the New Magazine Race but 20/1 shot Naiysan popped up for the layers, short-heading Gay Sloane.
The Oliver Finnegan-trained six-year-old obviously likes Dundalk as he landed his maiden here at odds of 50/1 and was second on his only other start at the course. He was partnered on this occasion by Chris Hayes. (EM)
