No suspects have emerged in the homicide of former jockey Chris Antley, a two-time winner of the Kentucky Derby who was found dead in his Pasadena home late Saturday night, police said on Monday.
An associate of Antley was arrested Sunday on outstanding drug warrants but Pasadena police said that he has been ruled out as a suspect in the death.
An autopsy confirmed that Antley sustained head injuries, but it failed to pinpoint the cause of death.
'The examination at this point is inconclusive,' Scott Carrier, spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner`s office, told the Bloodhorse website on Tuesday.
Carrier declined to detail the extent or nature of the injuries.
Antley, a two-time Kentucky Derby winner, had 'severe head trauma' when his body was discovered, police said.
Results of routine toxicology and other tests will take six to eight weeks, Carrier added.
