Trumpet Sound is set to represent Luca Cumani in the Gartner Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield Park on Saturday.
However the son of Theatrical, the winner of a Brighton maiden earlier in the month, will not run if ground conditions ease too much.
His trainer said today: "Providing the ground is not too soft Trumpet Sound will run on Saturday and Gerald Mosse will ride."
Kahyasi and High-Rise won this Group Three contest for Cumani before going on to win the Vodafone Derby at Epsom.
Trumpet Sound is 33-1 with Ladbrokes to win the blue riband.
