Ground conditions remain good to yielding at Fairyhouse for Monday's Powers Gold Label Irish Grand National.
The Dublin track avoided the heavy rain that affected much of Ireland last night according to racecourse manager Dick Shiel.
"We've had very little rain in the last 24 hours," Shiel said today.
"We had about an hour's rain at 5pm yesterday but we didn't get the deluge that hit the rest of the country. The going is good to yielding.
"The forecast is for a blustery April day with the high wind expected to die away later.
"There are heavy showers forecast over the next few days and I think the going will be on the soft side of good on Monday.
"The chase course we race on Monday and Tuesday has not been used since last Easter and there is a magnificent cover of grass."
Shiel is hoping for around six British-based horses to travel over for the 29-furlong contest.
One of those will be Jocks Cross who has been confirmed on course for the race by trainer Venetia Williams.
Riding arrangements have yet to be finalised for the nine-year-old.
