NO BERT AT HAYDOCK

Bertolini was one of three withdrawals at today`s final declaration stage for the Group One Stanley Leisure Sprint Cup at Haydock Park on Saturday.

Following the defection of the Nunthorpe Stakes runner-up, Godolphin will now rely on Frankie Dettori`s mount Lend A Hand plus Auenklang and Sampower Star.

Munjiz and Hot Tin Roof were the others taken out of the #150,000 six-furlong contest.

'We have got 15 runners and I am delighted,' said Haydock Park clerk of the course Lisa Rowe.

'It should be as competitive a race as we have had for a few years.

'The going is good to soft. It is breezy at the moment but we do have rain forecast.'

With the prospect of rain at Haydock, Jeremy Glover is expecting a big run from Perryston View.

'There is rain forecast and he relishes soft ground,' the trainer said.

Perryston View finished fifth behind Nuclear Debate in the Nunthorpe Stakes last time and Glover added: 'I was very pleased with York. He hadn`t run for two months - not since the King`s Stand - and he ran really well. He was only beaten for third place in the last 20 yards.

'He`s come back good from York and will run a terrific race on Saturday.'

Seb Sanders will ride the eight-year-old at Haydock Park.
