NICK NOW SET FOR NAVAN COMEBACK

Nick Dundee today had the date of his return to action changed for a third time following the abandonment of Cork`s meeting on Sunday.

The Edward O`Grady-trained chaser had been due to run in the O`Connell Group Chase at Cork which had been postponed from December 3.

However the course remains waterlogged and the 21-furlong contest has been switched to Navan`s card this Saturday.

Nick Dundee has been off the course since suffering ligament damage in a fall in the Royal & SunAlliance Chase at Cheltenham in March 1999.

O`Grady said: 'He`ll run. Touch wood we think he`s quite well.

'It hasn`t been easy with the weather but I think we`ve done as much as we could under the circumstances and he seems very well.

'Mr Philip Fenton will probably ride him.'

The Grade Three Hilly Way Chase, which had also been due to take place at Cork this Sunday, has been transferred to Punchestown the same day.

The Turf Club has also announced that an additional fixture will be staged at Thurles on Saturday December 16.
