See More Business and Flagship Uberalles were both given the thumbs up by trainer Paul Nicholls today after their victories at Newbury.
Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup favourite See More Business passed his final test before bidding for a repeat win in the Festival showpiece in exemplary style when easily lifting the Aon Insurance Chase on Saturday.
And Flagship Uberalles, favourite for the Queen Mother Champion Chase, was equally impressive with what amounted to no more than a canter to take the Mitsubishi Shogun Game Spirit Chase.
"Everything went to plan as I could not be more pleased with both horses as there was plenty of pressure on me and them but they are in good order this morning," declared Nicholls.
"It was just what was needed to give them both a race course sharpener and they will now go straight to the Festival next month," he added.
Nicholls intends letting Rockforce bid to extend his unbeaten sequence this term when sending the gelding for the Mitsubishi Shogun Ascot Chase at the Berkshire course next Saturday.
"Rockforce is an intended runner at Ascot. He's unbeaten over fences this season and I am sure he will go well but obviously we are stepping into unknown territory with him as all his wins have been at two miles and next Saturday is basically a two-and-a-half miler," stated Nicholls.
However the trainer could face a jockey dilemma for Rockforce as stable jockey Joe Tizzard could be on duty at Warwick next Saturday.
Nicholls said: "If Joe goes to Warwick then Timmy Murphy will hopefully be able to ride the horse as he won on him last time."
