Paul Nicholls is set to run both Flaked Oats and Storm Damage in Saturday`s Tote Becher Chase at Aintree, run over three miles and three furlongs of the Grand National course.
There were 23 entries in all revealed today including last year`s winner Feels Like Gold and the 1999 Martell Grand National hero Bobbyjo.
Nicholls explained: 'It is quite possible I will run both. Storm Damage has always had this race as his target since he ran a great race in the John Hughes at Aintree last season (fifth to Northern Starlight).
'He had a prep race at Wetherby last month (well-beaten third to the Irish raider Puget Blue) but he needed the run, he always does, and he is well on target for the race.
Flaked Oats has already shown good form this term, and Nicholls went on: 'He won the Badger Beer Chase for the second year running at Wincanton the other day.
'He was running a great race in the National last season until he lost Timmy Murphy down the far side and again we have always wanted to run him in the Becher Chase. We don`t have any riding plans at present.'
Nicky Richards is looking forward to having another crack at the race with Feels Like Gold who impressed when beating Him Of Praise by 11 lengths in the hands of Tony Dobbin.
Dobbin will ride again, and Richards said: 'He is a bit of a character, but he seems to be in good fettle and he has been there three times and never touched a twig.
'If he can get out in front he might take a bit of catching.'
