Scotland's five courses are to combine forces for the first time in a new joint venture unveiled today.
Ayr, Hamilton, Kelso, Musselburgh and Perth are coming together under the banner of "Scottish Racing" to promote racing in the country.
Each of the tracks is investing in the marketing initiative, which is being backed by the Tote.
Scottish Racing chairman Ian Good said: "By combining the strengths of the five courses we will be able to provide significantly increased benefits to the racing public, potential sponsors and corporate hospitality buyers.
"Over £5million has been invested in on-course facilities across Scotland in the last three years and with further improvements planned racing now provides facilities rivalling other sporting events and venues.
"The creation of Scottish Racing will greatly assist the development of racing in Scotland and I am confident we will be successful."
Tote chairman Peter Jones added: "We are delighted to be playing a part in bringing Scottish Racing together.
"We believe all the racecourses involved have a very strong image and a valuable product to sell."
Scottish Racing aims to increase the number of women and under-25s going racing and hopes to work with the Scottish Tourist Board to attract racegoers from the UK and worldwide.
