Fiddling The Facts is set to return to action at Chepstow on Saturday, it was announced today.
Nicky Henderson's mare, who was pulled up in the De Vere Gold Cup at Haydock Park last time out after making a complete hash of the ninth fence, is entered over fences and hurdles at the Welsh course.
And the Lambourn trainer said: "She'll run in the chase and then she'll go for the Grand National. I know she'll have 12st on Saturday but she has to run somewhere.
"There's the William Hill National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham next week but I don't really want that. Then there's the Midlands Grand National the Saturday after Cheltenham but I don't want her to get involved in a four-mile slog three weeks before Aintree.
"She deserves a win and if everything goes according to plan on Saturday I'll be very delighted."
Fiddling The Facts is a 20-1 chance with Ladbrokes for the Martell Grand National.
