Mullins looking forward to Christmas period Willie Mullins is pleased with where his team is heading into the Christmas meetings later this week. The likes of Lossiemouth, State Man and Galopin Des Champs head a formidable group for the Closutton trainer over the festive period. With the Champion trainer swinging into full gear in recent weeks he's expecting plenty more to come in the coming days. “I'm obviously very happy with the way they are running,” Mullins told journalist Dave Keena. “It's a bit of a short season for us now because it's only in the last three weeks that we've let them run and even still we're worried about the ground. “Fingers crossed, toes crossed, everything is going very well. I hope I don't put the mockers on it now by saying that. We're very pleased with how they are all progressing.” When it was put to him that State Man would improve from his initial run he added:- “He will and everything just seems to be comng on nicely and that's without even rushing them. We're just taking it as it comes and it's working out nicely.”
