Mullins caps fine week with Eight And Bob

The final race of the Galway Festival - the Fr. Breen Memorial Handicap - went the way of Willie Mullins' Eight And Bob to give the trainer 10 winners for the week.

There were seven non runners in this extended mile and five handicap, which saw Eight And Bob go off 11/4 favourite.

Rachael Blackmore did the steering and drove him from third to first entering the straight.

He was ridden in the final furlong to go and win his race, and stayed on well to assert by three and a half lengths. Mandarin Monarch kept on for second at 40/1 in front of Mullins' Cool Colonnade who got in as a reserve and finished a never third at 5/1.

Gavin Ryan and Shane Foley finished level on five winners each for the week. Ryan took the crown for leading Flat jockey based on prize money as he landed two premier handicaps on Saltonstall and Current Option

Paul Townend was the top National Hunt jockey (five winners), while Mullins was top trainer (includes both codes).
