Missunited - the queen of Ballybrit There certainly wouldn't be anyone begrudging Missunited the queen of Ballybrit accolade at present and she took her course record to three from three when landing the Listed Ardilaun Hotel Oyster Stakes in the hands of Seamie Heffernan. Heffernan sent the Galway Hurdle heroine to the front turning in and the attractive Golan mare soon set sail for home. Anyone that backed the patiently ridden odds-on favourite, Eye Of The Storm, would have been a little concerned to see Joseph O'Brien pulling his stick through at the three furlong pole. The Galileo colt did chase Missunited up the straight but he never looked like getting there and despite finishing out his race well he was still three parts of a length down at the line. Winning trainer Mick Winters revealed: "I rode her the other day and she was fierce well in herself. She loves it here. "She won here last September with Bryan Cooper under hands and heels from the bend and it was kind of the same today. "We'll look at Listowel (the Listed race there) and there is a two mile race for her at the Curragh at the end of September. "She had an easy enough race today. "Of course in time she'll make a lovely broodmare as she has a heart of gold. "In fairness to Seamie too, he has always given us great confidence with her and the day in Roscommon when she wasn't quite right he minded her." Meanwhile husband to winning owner Vanessa Hutch, Dan commented: "Her dam won a handicap here too and she appears to go on all ground." (DM & EM)
