Review NAVAN 29TH APR Yeats made a successful seasonal reappearance when landing the Vintage Crop Listed Stakes at Navan yesterday. Aidan O Brien's 1/3 favourite made no mistake on his way to a facile five length victory with Seamie Heffernan up. Having disappointed in last years Irish St Leger the six year old was settled in by Heffernan before leading three furlongs from home and going clear two out. Reform Act was the subject of each way support and he finished second with Cool Touch back in third. Afterwards the winning jockey said 'This is a top class horse, he won the way we wanted him to and he came for me on the bridle two furlong out. He is a proper racehorse,' concluded Heffernan.Jim Bolger saddled a near 100/1 a treble on the card, two of whom were ridden by Kevin Manning. Manning started the day at Gowran but after ridding Hill Of Honey in the first, he made the trip by helicopter to score on 11/8 favourite Asafa and 11/4 second favourite La Conquistadora. Davy Moran was in the plate for the first leg of the three timer on Let Me Shine in the fillies maiden over five furlongs. It was a better day for favourite backers at Navan where the well fancied Contest in the colours of Derek Smith justified odds of even money to win the maiden for David Wachman and jockey Wayne Lordan while Champion jockey Declan McDonagh failed to go home empty handed when 3/1 favourite Million Spirits gave Kevin Prendergast his tenth winner of the campaign.
