Daring Man made a successful start to his racing career with victory in the Blackrock Maiden.
Mick Kinane was an eyecatching jockey booking for Michael O'Brien's debutant and the three-year-old felt the benefit of a well-judged ride.
Kinane took up a position on the rails before swinging wide at the top of the straight and the 8-1 shot responded in style to pip He's Got Rhythm on the line.
O'Brien and Kinane were out of luck in the Fane Maiden though, as the 11-10 market leader Phoenix Ice was pulled up in the straight after failing to sparkle.
The race went to the front-running Yameell (10-1) but his short-head victory over Redeemable was overshadowed by the falls of Sweet Surprise and Jupiter Pearl.
Sweet Surprise appeared to clip the heels of the horse in front, crashing to the ground and bringing down Jupiter Pearl in the process.
Sam James, Sweet Surprise's rider, was reported to be suffering concussion and was taken to hospital for further checks.
Just For Mary came with a powerful late finish to claim the feature Oriel Handicap.
The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding was sent off a 14-1 shot and he did not look set to play any part in the finish as he was out the back as the field turned into the straight.
However, Just For Mary kept responding for pressure in the final furlong and edged out 100-30 favourite Johnstown Lad by a length at the line.
No Strings showed his rivals a clean pair of heels as he notched up a quick course double in the Ardee Handicap.
On the mark over a furlong further 12 days ago, the Dermot Weld-trained 9-4 favourite was always in control under Pat Smullen. Making his move after the turn for home, No Strings accelerated away for a win over Badger Or Bust.
Weld and Smullen were denied a double as 4-7 favourite Suailce suffered a surprise reverse at the hands of Mid Mon Lady (10-1) in the Ravensdale Fillies Maiden.
