Review CURRAGH 12th Jul Jumbajukiba put in a determined effort at the Curragh when repelling all challengers to land the Group Three Keeneland Minstrel Stakes.Jessica Harrington's charge was slightly slowly away and was pushed hard to get to the lead by Fran Berry, but the 4-1 shot never looked like relinquishing his position once in front.Al Qasi tried desperately to get on terms in the final furlong, but Jumbajukiba had already flown, running on well to take the spoils by half a length.Aidan O'Brien's Plan notched his first success of the season when outstaying Regime in the closing stages to win the Group Three Keeneland International Stakes.Regime looked to have the race at his mercy when travelling sweetly into the lead over two furlongs out, but Johnny Murtagh was persistent on Plan, who responded for pressure close home.Seeing out this longer trip well, the 11-4 chance finished a length to the good over Michael Bell's charge and connections could step him up in class for his next run.Tommy Stack's Oui Say Oui showed a willing attitude to get off the mark at the first attempt in the Carmel Keatley Memorial EBF Fillies Maiden.In front over two furlongs out under Wayne Lordan, the 10-1 chance repelled the challenge of Baliyana and finally Carefree Smile, beating the latter by two lengths.Flashy Beau ended a losing run stretching back to September 2005 when reunited with Johnny Murtagh in the Charlie Keatley Memorial Handicap.Murtagh was on board the last time the 6-1 chance got his nose in front, and the result was soon put to bed once they swept into the lead a furlong out, before running on to a two-length win over Captain Hook.Michael Halford's Wychwood Wanderer (14-1) made virtually every yard of the running to land the Peter Keatley Curragh Groundcare Handicap under Shane Foley.© www.irish-racing.com
