< Elusive Ridge is headed for a trip to the Galway Festival after breaking a long barren spell for trainer Harry Rogers at Clonmel.
The County Louth handler had not saddled a winner since last October but he is now eyeing a Festival outing for Elusive Ridge after the 4-1 shot struck gold under Pat Smullen in the Fethard Maiden.
"It must have been an ordinary maiden and he was entitled to win like that," said Rogers.
"He likes fast ground and hopefully will end up at the Galway Festival along the way."< Dainty is set to switch to handicap company after finally breaking her maiden at the sixth attempt.
Sent off the 1-3 favourite for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, David Wachman's charge was an easy five-length victor for Wayne Lordan after making much of the running.
Wachman said: "Dainty didn't have much to beat today but did it well and will go handicapping next."
Joseph O'Brien notched his third winner of the campaign as he steered Dusty Trail (4-1) to an easy six-length verdict in the Knockmealdown Handicap.
"Dusty Trail had been dropped a fair bit in the weights and had run well on his last start," said winning handler Eoin Doyle.
"He is a tough sort and may go for a six-year-old maiden hurdle at Tramore next."
Andrew McNamara has hit the ground running in the new jumps season and he was on target for the 12th time this term aboard Garlic Hill in the Summer BBQ Evening June 10th Maiden Hurdle.
Edward O'Grady's charge made the most of a blunder from runner-up John The Soldier at the final flight to pull a length and three-quarters clear at the line.
"Garlic Hill is my first winner for his English owners Sam & Carole Cooper & ndash; they have a place near Fethard and I'm delighted to train a winner for them," said O'Grady.
"Garlic Hill is a summer horse and should make a very nice chaser in time."
