John McConnell is assessing options for stable star Seddon, after his win on the level at Killarney on Friday last.

The now 11-year-old enjoyed his finest moment when successful in the Magners Plate Handicap Chase at Cheltenham last year, following up in a valuable Grade B contest over flights at the Punchestown Festival.

Disappointingly pulled up at Kilbeggan in June, the son of Stowaway since bounced back to form when beating some useful rivals at Killarney.

"I don't know the plan - he got a mark of 84 on the Flat, so that leaves some of the late-season handicaps as an option," McConnell explained.

"We have missed both Cesarewitch entries, we wouldn't get into the Irish one but we probably would have got into the English one alright.

"There are other ones there that would be an option and, obviously, then we have conditions chases and hurdles to look at. We probably won't go back to a handicap just yet.

"If things are going well, we will probably target some of the veterans chases in the UK. He would be tailor-made for them."
