Make Me Sway used the far rail to good effect when winning the apprentice handicap in the Curragh under Willie Byrne.

The three-year-old filly, on handicap debut, had plenty to do over a quarter of a mile from home.

Byrne was seen working hard on her and she really picked up well with over a furlong to race.

She thundered home to collar Athlumney Hall in the final 100 yards to score by a length and quarter at 14/1 for Jim Bolger.

Athlumney Hall had to settle for second at 14/1. He was a neck in front of Mother Vincent (20/1). Backers of Miracles In Way (20/1) got an each-way dividend in fourth.

This was 19-year-old Byrne's seventh career success.
