Dessie Hughes' horses are in fine form at present and his Magnanimity under Davy Russell, landed the GAA Fundraisers Beginners Chase at Punchestown today.
Magnanimity capitalised from runner-up and leader Arabella Boy s final fence mistake to lead on the run-in, to deny Arabella Boy's trainer Enda Bolger a quick double following L'Ami s earlier win.
Afterwards Hughes stated "Magnanimity really needs three miles and did well to win over two and a half today. He goes on heavy ground and is a nice long distance novice chasing prospect. The ground was a little too quick for him the last day and he'll go for a three mile novice chase at Leopardstown over Christmas next."
