Musselburgh's meeting this afternoon has survived the threat of frost.
A precautionary inspection had been called for 7.30am this morning after temperatures of -5C had been forecast overnight.
Clerk of the course Bill Farnsworth said: "Racing is OK for today - there are no problems.
"It got pretty cold last night but the forecast was right and cloud came in so we have passed the inspection."
The going at the track is currently described as good, good to firm in places.
