MUSIC HEADS CRAVEN ENTRIES

Distant Music, the winter favourite for the Sagitta 2000 Guineas, heads the list of 16 entries made today for the thehorsesmouth.co.uk Craven Stakes at Newmarket on Thursday.

The Barry Hills-trained colt also holds an engagement in Tuesday's re-scheduled Lane's End Greenham Stakes.

Misraah, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, is also in the Craven, a race the Newmarket trainer has won in the past with the likes of Shadeed, Doyoun, Shaadi, Alnasr Alwasheek and Desert Story.

Stoute also has King's Best in the one-mile contest but this promising individual may run in the Victor Chandler European Free Handicap the previous afternoon.

Adilabad is a third entry for Stoute in Thursday's race which carries a penalty value of #20,300.

Ballydoyle trainer Aidan O'Brien has Brahms and Rossini in the Group Three event.

Another interesting entry is Henry Cecil's Western Summer, the impressive winner of his only start at two. However, the Warren Place trainer has hinted that this highly-regarded colt could run in the John Mowlem Feilden Stakes earlier on the same card.
