MURTAGH BACK IN ACTION

Johnny Murtagh was given the all-clear to ride at Thurles today after recovering from an accident on Wednesday.

The jockey, who rode Sinndar to victory in Sunday`s Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp, was unseated from Tiergartan on the way to the start of a nursery at Fairyhouse.

However, Murtagh revealed: 'There`s no problem, I just had a bit of a stiff neck this morning but I feel fine and I`ve passed the doctor.'

The rider, who landed three Group One victories in Paris, returns to Britain at Ascot on Saturday where his booked rides include Riyafa for trainer Sir Michael Stoute in the Princess Royal Willmott Dixon Stakes.

'I`ve got four rides at the moment and if I get rides in the other couple I`d be delighted,' he added.
