MOWELGA HEADS 55 IN NOVEMBER HANDICAP

Last year`s winner Flossy is among 55 entries revealed today for the Tote Scoop6 November Handicap at Doncaster, the last big race of the turf Flat season in Britain.

The Chris Thornton-trained filly, who is due to run in tomorrow`s Grangewood Rated Stakes at Newmarket, has been allotted 9st 1lb for the#30,000 contest on November 4th.

The Lady Herries-trained Mowelga tops the weights for the 12-furlong contest on 9-10, with Luca Cumani`s Ebor runner-up Boreas next highest on 9-8.

Trainer John Gosden, who won this race three times in the 1990s with Hieroglyphic, Turgenev and Sabadilla, has four possibles.

They include Bound For Pleasure (8-12), a winner at Doncaster on St Leger day but well-beaten when joint-favourite for the Cambridgeshire last time, Ormelie (9-2), Sharp Stepper (8-6) and Dance Director (8-3).

Other notable entries include Mallard Handicap winner Romantic Affair (9-5), Ben Hanbury`s duo Thari (9-3) and Takwin (8-12), and Carly`s Quest (8-7), runner-up to Flossy and Yavana`s Pace in this race for the last two years.
